The Internet is very powerful media. In the current society, virtual world of internet is able to influence even the most powerful people around the world. World wide web is one of most brilliant inventions, but it can be deadly as well. With anonymity, people can do and say bad things without responsibility.
People, who post threads, sometimes accuse people of most awful things, and in worst cases, in Korea, it drove some celebrities into committing suicide.
Anonymity was ways to protect the weak, to give the weak space to express themselves. It wasn't designed for criticizing, and hurting others without any strings attached over internet. If one opens spam email, it contains variety of illegal deeds, starting from personal informations to other frauds. There are a urgent help for control over these matters.
In reality, there are limited resources, but in virtual world there aren't any. There are almost no consequences and even steal and do illegal stuff to others by sending advertising program, viruses. Computers hardwares are constantly being upgraded, but because of these parasitic programs, there isn't much difference in speed using internet.
In streets, there are traffic laws, to make drivers follow traffic signs or suffer the consequences of a ticket or more. With various traffic laws, we are able to travel safely without frequent accidents. Just like traffic laws designed to protect people, I think there are need for control in internet, making one fear the consequences of illegal deed. Of course these measure of control can interfere with privacy, but if there are no actions taken, there will more crimes over internet.
