Review : half-tuition fee policy

Korea is second place of highest tuition rates among OECD member nations. From one year to another, students have to pay more and more money for University. Many of Students are bending over backwards to make ends meet. This is why started street protests and rallies demanding for change. So, I come up with some solutions to solve the problem.
First, we are able to solve the problem by reducing the number of universities. After the assembly passed the law about founding high education institute, many universities were founded. These universities are main reason of this situation. They have to assign high tuition for running by themselves.
Second, we can solve the problem by amending financial system of university. Most universities do not let us know about their budget. Because of this, some of university administrators can use public funds when they need. If the university has to show transparent public finances by revising financial system, they would not use money on inappropriate programs. It surely effect on decreasing tuition.
At last, we can solve the problem by reorganizing social environment. This looks inappropriate to this topic, it is not true. This is the underlying solution of this situation. Some people insisted that If the tuition fee is high, why don’t you enter the university. But we can get a good job without university graduation certificate. This is the important for graduating university. If this will be corrected, most people do not need to go to university. It let the people free to worry about high tuition fee.

Review : Ahn chul soo - the protagonist of political issue

When looking into Korean history, there is definitely an endless list of political happenings that are more than amusing. These state of affairs enraged a large number of voters. In the long run, Voters get sick and tired of politicians. The nation is ready to witness a change in Korean politics. Ahn chul soo certainly have become an overnight sensation.
The founder and former CEO of AhnLab indicated his candidacy for the mayoral race on an independent ticket. Initial surveys show the former doctor would win any candidate. Both ruling and opposition parties are wooing him. Ahn’s surprizing popularity is the manifestation of public disappointment with elected leaders, both conservative and liberal.
Seoul's top educator Kwak No-hyun, a vocal liberal, is under investigation on suspicion of buying off a candidate in the race for the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education. The allegation has dented the ethical integrity of liberals. Last month the National Assembly voted down a motion to oust Rep. Kang Yong-seok of the governing Grand National Party for his sexist remarks.
Ahn shares the public sentiment that political parties have shown limits for their partisanship, ideological confrontation, egoism and self-interest.
Although society is changing, they are squabbling under an obsolete framework of fights.
Despite his refreshing public image, he has yet to realize the gigantic barriers an independent candidate faces in real politics. Many untainted new faces disappear in public scenes. He may think he is the exception. Ahn has one difference from the pack in that he has so far changed society through deeds, not words.
Past data show that voters have shown a suspicious attitude of liking untainted new faces but voting for a party candidate. It is unclear whether his political experiment will end up a success or failure. Even if he wins the Seoul mayoral race, he would be in a no-win situation as he would have to struggle against the opposition-dominated council.
It is true that Ahn is one of a few unsoiled figures with an air of freshness. It is up to him whether to run. But he can also change society outside the political world.

Review : Audition boom in Korea

After success of the first audition program 'Superstar K', there has been surplus survival reality program in Korea TV channel. The audition program craze currently blowing in Korea has started to affect various fields of society- even in cosmetic surgery, employment, and marriage.
So, The audition craze has been spreading towards companies, organizations, and even the government for achieving their profit. For example, Jin Airlines have sponsored an audition program ‘The great birth' which sponsors the winning team on a three-day trip to Jeju island. As they attract public gaze, many companies offered large amount of prize. even the government has been involved in the audition craze by conserve energy, with a grand prize of 5million won. It makes people participate and eager to get the prize. The overseas Youtube also loaded a video on 'Korean audition'.
The Audition craze started when ordinary people like Paul pots and Susan Boyle successfully proved their hidden talents in the audition program 'Britain's got talent'. It moved on to the Korean society through a similar program 'superstar K' and 'I am a singer‘, giving people a chance to overcome their circumstances and change their lives. We can also find them similar to us where they told their heartwarming stories about their ordinary lives they went through.
In Korea's competitive society, the general public tend to idealize the performers' success and see hope through these auditions thinking that they also can achieve their dreams like the star who changed from ordinary people on TV, and that is mainly why audition programs have been key issue.
But we should always remember that if the auditions are too overheated in the programs, the competition in our society can produce a counter result.

Review 3 : Youth unemployment in Korea

These days, many youth in Korea suffer from unemployment. They blame it on the government's carelessness, the unstable economy, shortage of ideal jobs and so on. The youth unemployment rate in Korea is at record high levels these days. In order to heighten one's prospects of getting a job, one has to try to become more competitive than others.
So, in my opinion, this serious problem could be solved beginning with the applicant himself. In fact, through the recruiting sites, many companies are looking for applicants, however why is the unemployment rate still rising, nowadays?
Actually, everyone has their own individual dream. Some people want to be a researcher, other people want to be a engineer, and so on. But I think we should negotiate between our ideals and reality. There is a huge disparity between the typical applicant's expectations concerning what they want and what is actually available. If an applicant's expectations exceed, the employers willingness to give. Then the applicant is stuck in between unemployment and unsatisfaction.
Therefore, applicants should be find the job daringly. But not too much. Learn to accept what is available. they have to start work at the bottom of the ladder. Be patient and be steady. And then, they can meet your dream. We are the source of our future. Don't waste precious time for finding a little better condition of job. We should feel it's hard time, but it'll be strong column for our career when we looking back.

Review 2 : internet privacy

The Internet is very powerful media. In the current society, virtual world of internet is able to influence even the most powerful people around the world. World wide web is one of most brilliant inventions, but it can be deadly as well. With anonymity, people can do and say bad things without responsibility.
People, who post threads, sometimes accuse people of most awful things, and in worst cases, in Korea, it drove some celebrities into committing suicide.
Anonymity was ways to protect the weak, to give the weak space to express themselves. It wasn't designed for criticizing, and hurting others without any strings attached over internet. If one opens spam email, it contains variety of illegal deeds, starting from personal informations to other frauds. There are a urgent help for control over these matters.
In reality, there are limited resources, but in virtual world there aren't any. There are almost no consequences and even steal and do illegal stuff to others by sending advertising program, viruses. Computers hardwares are constantly being upgraded, but because of these parasitic programs, there isn't much difference in speed using internet.
In streets, there are traffic laws, to make drivers follow traffic signs or suffer the consequences of a ticket or more. With various traffic laws, we are able to travel safely without frequent accidents. Just like traffic laws designed to protect people, I think there are need for control in internet, making one fear the consequences of illegal deed. Of course these measure of control can interfere with privacy, but if there are no actions taken, there will more crimes over internet.
